Terms of Service

These terms apply to consumers' use of the Salomoto platform. Your contracting party is the provider named in the imprint.

Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected by these terms.

Salomoto is an AI-assisted companion for buying a motorcycle (Bike Match, Bike Hunt, Checks, inspection assistant, negotiation support) and a free platform for your rider life (profile, Rider DNA, BikeDex, garage, rides).

A Check is the complete evaluation of one specific listing: analysis, seller questions, cost estimate and inspection preparation. Results, once created, stay readable without costing another Check; if a listing changes materially, a re-check is only consumed after your explicit confirmation.

Most features require an account with accurate details. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential. There is no entitlement to a particular username.

The free plan comprises the rider platform plus free usage allowances, in particular free Checks (a starting grant, monthly growth, an upper cap — the current numbers are on the pricing page), Bike Match messages and inspection-assistant questions per checked bike.

Collecting and organizing candidates and Hunts, and reading results already created, are free without limit.

Salomoto Plus is the only paid plan. Every billing period includes the same feature set — in particular negotiation support — and periods differ only in the size of the monthly usage allowances. The periods (3, 6 or 12 months), prices and allowances are on the pricing page and are shown to you before purchase.

Plus allowances are monthly usage allowances within the running subscription. The monthly windows follow the start of your term (subscription months, not calendar months); unused Plus allowance lapses when a window ends. Your free Check balance is untouched underneath and is only drawn on once the month's Plus allowance is used up. Allowances are not credit, not a currency and not transferable.

All prices are final prices including VAT. Salomoto is the seller and your contract partner; payment is processed by Stripe, whose secured payment pages are shown to you during checkout.

The subscription renews automatically for the chosen period at your running subscription's price unless you cancel before the period ends. We announce price changes for new periods in good time; a subscription concluded at the Founding price keeps that price for its renewals.

If a renewal payment fails, the payment provider retries the payment; while the retries run, Plus remains usable. If the payment finally does not succeed, the subscription ends.

You can cancel Salomoto Plus at any time effective at the end of the running period — in the app under Profile → Checks & Plan or via the cancellation page. All Plus features remain usable until the period ends.

You can end your free account at any time. Both sides' right to extraordinary termination for cause remains unaffected.

As a consumer you have a statutory right of withdrawal. The details, the conditions for early expiry upon immediate performance and the model withdrawal form are in the withdrawal notice.

We operate the platform with reasonable care but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance and further development can lead to short interruptions.

In particular, it is not permitted to use the platform for unlawful purposes, circumvent security mechanisms, scrape content automatically, manipulate allowance limits or infringe third-party rights. In case of substantial violations we may restrict features or suspend the account, taking legitimate interests into account.

Your content (photos, notes, rides, collected listings) remains yours. You grant us the non-exclusive rights of use needed to operate the platform for you (storing, displaying, processing for the features you use).

You are responsible for your content not infringing third-party rights.

Checks, Bike Match, the inspection assistant and negotiation support use AI. Their output can be incomplete, outdated or wrong. It is decision support based on the available information — not an assurance of a vehicle's characteristics, not a valuation report, no guaranteed savings and no legal or investment advice.

Negotiation support relies exclusively on the documented information you collected and claims no market value.

The inspection assistant does not replace an inspection by a professional workshop or your own careful viewing. The decision to buy or ride a vehicle is yours; we accept no responsibility for the technical condition of a purchased vehicle.

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for damage arising from injury to life, body or health. For simple negligence we are liable only for the breach of essential contractual obligations, limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. Liability under the German Product Liability Act remains unaffected.

We may adapt these terms with effect for the future where there is a valid reason (e.g. legal changes or new features). We will inform you of material changes in good time; for running Plus periods, changes apply only if they do not disadvantage you or you agree to them.

German law applies. If you are a consumer, this choice of law applies only insofar as it does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the state of your habitual residence.

Should individual provisions be invalid, the remainder of the contract remains valid.
