About us
An app for your life with motorcycles
We're building what many riders improvise: one place for their own motorcycle, their own rides — and the search for the next one.
Why we're building this
Buying a used motorcycle is one of the least supported big purchases there is. A listing in one tab, a forum thread in the next, a notes app — and then a two-hour drive to a bike you have to judge on the spot.
So that's where we started: collecting listings, assessing them, asking the right questions, estimating costs, inspecting prepared and comparing. Always so that it stays visible what's fact and what's an estimate.
But the purchase is only one week of a relationship that lasts years. That's why MyGarage, BikeDex, RoadDex and your rider profile belong to it from the start.
The name is Salomoto. And it's for riders, from the first 125 to four motorcycles in the garage.
How we build
Four decisions that shape everything else.
Reasons, not scores
A number without an explanation doesn't help you — so there isn't one. Every assessment says in words what it's based on.
Honest about limits
We don't replace a workshop, don't name a market value and label estimates as estimates.
Your data, your visibility
Garage history and rides are private. You decide how visible your profile is.
For every rider
A scooter for the commute and a superbike for Sunday are both real motorcycling.
What we don't build
Being clear about this early helps the product stay good at what it does.
No navigation or tracking app
You plan routes in the free route planner and ride them with your navigation device or Google Maps. Salomoto doesn't build its own navigation or GPS recording; RoadDex is a ride log you fill in.
No marketplace
We don't host listings or sell motorcycles. Your candidates and questions are the part worth keeping.
No network for likes
Profiles, follows and activity, yes. Likes, comments and direct messages, no.
